what is vaule means on Pharmacode option?

Hi, I am having trouble understand what minimum value and maximum value means on the Pharmacode settings.  Does value means number of digits on a bar code like 8 has value of 1 and 123 has value of 3? Or, does value means the sum of all the digits like 8 has value of 8 and 123 has value of 6?  Or, does value means the width of a bar or space on a Pharmacode?

    Anybody know?

     Thanks.

The minimum and maximum values for Pharmacode represent the minimum and maximum values for the encoded string or the overall value of the bar code.  This value of the SD_PROP_RESULT_STRING property in SwiftDecoder when a Pharmacode symbol is issued will always be within the range of the SD_PROP_PHARMA_MIN_VALUE to SD_PROP_PHARMA_MAX_VALUE properties.
